In family law, there are several consequences for not paying child support. An unusual sentence, at least in my opinion, was handed down and appealed in another state not Florida. The individual was actually sentenced on a crime and the court took the liberty of addressing back child support in the criminal case.

Concealed Weapon in a Vehicle
When is a weapon concealed or not concealed inside a vehicle? Florida law defines a concealed weapon as a deadly weapon carried on or about a person in such a manner as to conceal the weapon from the ordinary sight of another person. Normally a person cannot see the items inside a vehicle without opening a door. This can lead the state attorney's offices to file charges that the weapon was concealed if the weapon or firearm is carried within a vehicle.
Amendments to the Red Light Camera law, the "Mark Wandall Traffic Safety Program"
Amendments to the red light camera law named, the Mark Wandall Traffic Safety Program, which authorize the use of red light cameras to issue a notice of violation, will go into effect on July 1, 2013. A person accused of running a red light by a red light camera will first receive a "Notice of Violation". If the notice is ignored, then eventually a uniform traffic citation charging violation of a traffic control device, violation of a traffic signal device, or running a red light will be issued and delivered via certified mail.
